Annual Korean FilmFest

“This movie is crazy tear jerker. Can’t stop this water coming out from my eyes. Better think of something else…food!”

(I realized the Korean words I’ve written is incorrect}.

The annual (한국 영화 제) Korean Film Festival kickstarted yesterday with the initial feature film (국제시장) ‘Ode To My Father.’

The following films are set to screen play at SM Lanang Cinema 1 with free admissions on these schedules:

Sept. 16

12:00PM Confession Of Murder

03:00PM How To Use Guys

06:00PM The Suspect

Sept. 17

12:00PM The Suspect

03:00PM Beauty Inside

06:00PM Ode To My Father

Sept. 18

12:00PM How To Use Guys

03:00PM Confession Of Murderer

06:00PM Beauty Inside

This is such an uncommon idea for me. I never really thought about making this site as an event information hub. But well see if this diversion could improve my benchmark.

I invited myself to take part with SM Cinema’s Korean Film Festival earlier this evening as there is also an information about it provided yesterday. If I’ve never heard about it, I would have gone doing my laundry at home. But then I was lucky enough to attend the film starter for the festival which is the ‘Ode To My Father.’ An unbelievable story about the greatest sacrifice a person do for his / her family. About acceptance, reaching your goals and making people happy even if it’s yours that is at stake.

The partnership between SM Cinema and the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), Film Cultural Exchange Program, the Korea Tourism Organization – Manila (KTO), and the Korea Copyright Commission gathered together to showcase critically acclaimed blockbuster Korean movies which is celebrated annually on limited SM Cinemas around the Philippines. This year, the theme “Brave Heart” is set to promote the strong characters of positivity in achieving each goals along with courage and determination amidst trials and hardships.
